Cookie policy
The complete inventory of what this site stores in your browser — currently a single consent entry — and every way to say no.
Last reviewed and updated: July 12, 2026
1. Plain terms first
“Cookies” here means everything a site can park in your browser to remember something between pages or visits — classic cookies, localStorage entries, and their relatives. This page is the complete inventory for travelinggoosephotography.com, operated by Traveling Goose Photography LLC.
2. What this site actually stores
Strictly necessary — always on
One localStorage entry, tgp_consent_v1, recording the button you pressed in the cookie notice (“Accept all” or “Only necessary”). It contains that single word, never leaves your browser, and exists so the notice does not reappear on every page. Without it the banner would follow you around, which helps no one.
Analytics — optional, off by default
If aggregate readership measurement is ever enabled, it loads only after you choose “Accept all.” Its purpose would be limited to understanding which essays get read. Choosing “Only necessary” keeps it off, and every essay reads identically either way.
Advertising — optional, off by default
If clearly-labeled third-party advertising is shown, the network serving it may set cookies to deliver and measure ads and, with your consent, to personalize them. Those cookies belong to the network and follow its privacy policy. They are set only after “Accept all”; with “Only necessary,” any advertising that appears is non-personalized.
3. Your controls
- The notice: first visit, two buttons, your pick applies site-wide.
- Changing your answer: clear this site's data in your browser settings and the notice will ask again next time.
- Browser-level control: every modern browser can block or wipe cookies per-site or globally. Blocking everything for this site breaks nothing — you will simply see the notice each visit.
- Industry opt-outs: for interest-based advertising generally, the self-regulatory opt-out pages run by the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative let you decline personalization across many networks at once. Both are easy to find by name.
4. The inventory, dated
As of July 12, 2026, the complete list of storage this site itself sets is: tgp_consent_v1 (localStorage, your consent choice, strictly necessary). No analytics or advertising storage is currently active. If that changes, this inventory is updated first, before anything new is set.
5. Questions
Cookie questions are privacy questions: privacy@travelinggoosephotography.com, or the contact form. The broader picture of data handling is in the privacy policy.
